39/80: Auckland, Uusi-Seelanti/New Zealand: Rangitoto Island 8.12.2014 (vain kuvia/only photos)

Vierailin tänään vulkaanisella Rangitoton saarella, joka on varsin erikoinen paikka. Kaikki kasvaa laavan päällä. Tällä internetsivulla on lisätietoja saaresta englanniksi. Vaikken yleisesti ottaen pidä opastetuista kiertoajeluista, tämänkertainen oli todella hyvä, koska opas/kuski asuu itse tällä saarella. Lauttamatkat ja kierros maksoi NZ$60, eli noin 40 euroa.

I visited today volcanic Rangitoto Island, which is a really special place. Everything that you can see grows on lava, there's no soil. You'll find more information about the island on this website. Although I don't usually enjoy guided tours that much, this one was really good, as the guide/driver lives himself on this island. Ferry rides and the guided tour were altogether NZ$60, that is about 40 euros.
